Posted on November 21st, 2008

Thursday evening, we were to the French Imagine Cup 2009 competition press launch!
After a brief reminder of the best moments of the competition IC2008 whose world finals was in France, Thomas Serval introduced competition in 2009 has CI this year theme “Imagine a world where technology helps solve the toughest problems facing us today.” A theme widely opened, but based on the 8 Millennium Goals for Development issued by the United Nations.

The presentation continued with explaining programs helping students during their education and entrepreneurs. That was the occasion to introduce the French BizSpark program.

We had the honor of having a forum at the event during which Thomas, interviewed by Thomas Serval, director of the Ecosystem and Platform division at Microsoft France, outlined Hop-Cube’s principles.

After this presentation, we talked with some journalists and Microsofties who were in the place and gave then a little more information about our project.

To sum up, an event during which we discussed with lots of interesting people!

Hop-Cube officially integrates the BizSpark program !

Posted on November 15th, 2008

And as good news never comes alone, Hop-Cube is now integrated into the BizSpark program! This program, initiated by Microsoft, aims to help start-ups in 2 major aspects:

  • On the technological front, by providing young creators a list of major Microsoft products and services with production licenses. This avoids the technological choices to innovative projects based on the financing in priority and encouraging the emergence of a real questioning involving needs and solutions to those needs.
  • On the business aspect, by establishing a network of partners composed of incubators, financing organizations or individuals and entrepreneurial clubs, but also hosts and technical providers. The common vocation of all these organizations is to support innovative projects to emerge and flourish.

In addition, our participation in BizSpark allows us to be among the list of startups dedicated portal called Microsoft Startup Zone, that giving us greater visibility.

Finally, BizSpark favors relations with the support teams by offering us to solve two incidents per year that happen in our developments.

The BizSpark program is limited to a period of 3 years, during which we can enjoy the features described above. This means that this is an important opportunity forfor Hop-Cube to start, opening the potential for technical solutions to consider!
